Re-opening for face to face treatment – IMPORTANT UPDATE – Friday 29th May, 2020
We’re doing everything we can to get to all of our patients who need us just as soon as possible. We have a clear pandemic plan and additional protocols to follow. We will make sure that our re-opening is safe, effective and prioritises the most urgent needs. You will appreciate that after 10 weeks of closure we have already been contacted by patients who are now in desperate need. We will prioritise the relief of pain and want to see everyone as soon as we can. You can still call us for telephone triage using the guidance below and our aim is to be ready to take calls for face to face appointments from Monday 8th June.
During these unprecedented times we are unable to provide the normal care that patients are used to. Our practice will remain open during weekdays to provide advice to patients and where necessary provide care in the form of prescriptions for analgesics and antibiotics. We are here from 9am each day, with an hour for lunch between 12 noon and 1pm. Local practices are working together and face to face consultations and treatment, if necessary, will be provided for clinically urgent problems at one of these practices after telephone consultation with one of our dentists.
If you are calling outside of normal hours and have an urgent dental problem, please consider if this could wait until the following day or over the weekend rather than accessing the out of hours services.
If you are calling out of hours and the problem is extremely severe please contact the out of hours service through NHS111.
If your dental problem includes uncontrolled bleeding or a swelling that is causing breathing problems this is an emergency and you should go to A&E.
